Christy comes to Strategic Talent Solutions with nearly 20 years of experience in leadership, executive coaching, and consulting. She is a licensed psychologist specializing in the psychology of leadership. Her core areas of expertise include individual and team assessment and development, executive level coaching, succession planning and the design and implementation of leadership development programs. Christy works with both privately held organizations and public corporations, across diverse industries including insurance, real estate, pharmaceutical, construction, financial services, nuclear, manufacturing, professional services, renewable energy, and healthcare.
She is valued for her integrity and credibility and builds long-term trusted relationships with all of her clients. She quickly recognizes the potential in others and advises leaders on how to best leverage and empower all people within an organization. She is adept at advising organizations regarding their talent makeup, to ensure adequate bench strength and effective deployment of leadership capabilities. Additionally, her expertise includes helping leaders navigate through leadership/cultural issues inherent during broad scale changes such as mergers/acquisitions or significant growth of small and mid-size businesses. She has advised many organizations regarding key decisions concerning succession planning, merger integration and development of results-oriented executive leader teams.
Prior to joining Strategic Talent Solutions, Christy was a co-founder of Opus Leadership Group, a boutique consulting firm focusing primarily on executive coaching with senior leaders. Christy also worked previously with an international consulting firm specializing in management psychology and executive development. Her previous leadership experience included being a member of a senior management team at a State of Colorado agency where she developed and managed new programs and interventions, resulting in recognized best practices. She also consulted to large government agencies in the areas of effective programming, change implementation, and employee retention.
Christy earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University and is an often disappointed but loyal OSU sports fan. She completed her internship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and is a fellow with the Institute of Coaching, McLean/Harvard Medical School. She was a board member for a Colorado based credit union and often volunteered for Dress for Success. When not exploring the complex world of business organizations, Christy enjoys the exploring the world, particularly the cooler climates of Iceland, Antarctica andNorway.
