As a Partner of the firm, Ben brings diverse consulting experience along with an expertise in leveraging human resource measurement to drive organizational results. Ben has conducted hundreds of leadership assessments and feedback sessions to promote individual and organizational development. As a result, Ben has built considerable experience in helping leaders build a stronger self-awareness that allows them to leverage strengths and address development opportunities. His goal in coaching is to partner with leaders so they can deliver higher level results—as individuals and collectively as members of a team.

Within the firm’s wide-ranging client base, Ben has focused on the STS nuclear industry practice and has managed several organizational interventions. He has provided executive assessments to support the selection of key leadership positions and ensure fit between new leaders and the organization’s culture and strategy. He leverages his understanding of the characteristics needed to be successful as a leader as well as his experience working with operationally oriented organizations. In the utility and energy sector, some of Ben’s clients have included Kansas City Power & Light, Tennessee Valley Authority, Entergy, Dominion, DTE-Energy, and Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation.

Ben’s experience also includes the design, implementation, and analysis of surveys related to both organizational effectiveness and management development. He has also conducted assessment centers, written and validated certification exams, and developed computer simulation-based selection instruments. Some of Ben's clients have included, CDW, W.W. Grainger, CareerBuilder, Kerry Group, Inland American, and Eclipse.

Before joining STS, Ben led the financial services practice at the Center for Research and Service, a not-for-profit consulting center associated with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). In this role, he partnered with financial service organizations to leverage employee engagement surveys to improve organizational results. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from IIT and a B.A. from Baylor University.
