Mary Jo Rogers, Ph.D.
Mary Jo has spent most of the last 10 years building programs that help ready leaders in the electric industry.
In addition to her leadership in Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness, she is an accomplished team and
individual coach, helping leaders accelerate their own development and increase performance levels within their
organizations.
Prior to joining Strategic Talent Solutions, Mary Jo worked in management development for Exelon Corporation, one
of the nation's largest electric utilities. At Exelon she developed talent management processes complete with talent
assessment, succession planning, training and effectiveness measures. Mary Jo also created a standardized senior
leadership team assessment format that was undertaken at fossil stations as well as all 10 Exelon nuclear sites biennially.
These assessments were used to intervene and improve on individual leadership, team and organizational functioning in
order to better drive operational performance.
Mary Jo has worked closely with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) on leadership and organizational
effectiveness issues across the industry. She was part of the expert panel that wrote INPO's official document on
"Leadership Fundamentals to Achieve and Sustain Organizational Effectiveness." At INPO's request, Mary Jo served as a
peer team member for special organizational assessments at troubled plants.
Prior to joining Exelon, Mary Jo was a senior consultant with an international consulting firm that specializes in
executive selection and development where she worked with the Edison Electric Institute, American Electric Power, STP
(South Texas Project), PECO, and Commonwealth Edison. In addition to her work in the electric industry she has consulted
on organizational effectiveness and coached executives and managers from companies such as Motorola, Harnischfeger Mining
Machinery (Joy Global), Best Buy, Tribune, and the Harris Bank.
