Ben's specialty within Strategic Talent Solutions involves using human resource measurement to drive organizational results. Within the firm’s wide-ranging client base, Ben has focused on the STS nuclear industry practice and has managed several organizational interventions, including individual and team assessments. He is also currently leading a comprehensive study on the effectiveness of first-line supervisors in the nuclear industry. The study provides crucial insight into the key factors contributing to nuclear supervisory effectiveness.
Within the realm of general consulting, Ben’s experience includes developing, administering and analyzing surveys related to organizational effectiveness and management development. He has also conducted assessment centers, written and validated certification exams, and developed computer simulation-based selection instruments. Some of Ben's clients have included CNA Financial, Fort Dearborn Life, Kansas City Power & Light, Information Resources, Inc., Kerry Group and First Command.
Before joining Strategic Talent Solutions, Ben led the financial services practice at the Center for Research and Service, a not-for-profit consulting center associated with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). In this role, he partnered with financial service organizations to administer employee engagement surveys. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University and a M.S in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from IIT. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at IIT.
