Bruce Fisher, Ph.D.
Bruce Fisher is the Director of the Center for Research and Service, a not-for-profit consulting and training center
associated with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). The Center provides Strategic Talent Solutions with data
processing and analysis for its 360° feedback programs and engagement surveys.
Bruce leads the Center's consulting services in manager selection and development, survey research, and program
evaluation. He also serves as Director of the IIT Leadership Academy, which is responsible for designing and implementing
the university's leadership development programs and mentoring systems.
Bruce's work with Strategic Talent Solutions focuses on executive assessments, leadership development programs, and
employee engagement. His passion for leadership is contagious, and he excels at helping leaders become more effective.
In addition, he is the firm's expert on measurement and validity issues, making sure organizations measure the right things
in a scientific way. Bruce's clients include CNA Financial, Houghton Mifflin, Shure Incorporated, and Woodward Governor.
Prior to joining IIT's Center for Research and Service, Bruce was a partner with Organizational Psychologists LLC, and
a research psychologist for Science Research Associates. He is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational
Psychology (SIOP), and is a frequent speaker at psychology conferences on the topics of top talent retention, manager and
executive selection, employee engagement, and the future of leadership development.
Bruce holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Northern Iowa, an M.S. from the University of Louisiana—Monroe.
He also received a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from IIT. He can be reached at
