Gail Berger, Ph.D.
Gail’s areas of expertise include executive assessment and leadership development, succession planning, and teambuilding. As an external consultant, she has worked with many companies including, Lockheed Martin, McDonalds, Grant Thornton, Masco, and Driehaus Capital Management. She has also worked internationally as a consultant to Li & Fung. Even when implementing large-scale leadership development programs, Gail is always focused on the individual strengths and needs of each individual she is assessing. She provides candid feedback and tailors the style of delivery to ensure that she is helping to drive people toward constructive change.
Gail’s professional experience also includes a role as the Director of Industrial Organizational Internships at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In that position, she acted as a corporate liaison and student advisor to match students to internship positions that complemented their skill-sets, while at the same time providing mentoring to students and coaching those who faced roadblocks and set-backs during their internship experiences.
In addition to her consulting work, for the past 7 years Gail has been a lecturer at Northwestern University’s School of Education, Kellogg School of Management, and McCormick School of Engineering. Her teaching includes courses on leadership, negotiations, organizational theory, and learning and performance. In the same way Gail works with her corporate clients to help individuals maximize their potential, as a teacher she provides personalized feedback and attention to her students to help them attain their learning goals.
Gail is member of the Eastern Academy of Management and has presented at national conferences on the topics of effective organizational communication, conflict resolution, and the performance review process.
Gail received her Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She also holds an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Loyola University and a B.S./B.A. in Elementary Education and Psychology from Boston University.
